	born 1959 in Korneuburg, Lower Austria The concentrated long termed work with a theme results to a variety of works letting guess an visualised aim. Thereby numerous topical series were created - nevertheless each work is unique. In the course of his long involvement in applying different techniques, Schmidbauer developed his own art technique and created the "Reliefcut graphic". This technique makes his graphics distinctive and unique. Fascinating three-dimensional pictures arise that first impress the viewer, before he is led into an amazing real but bewitched world. The atmosphere catched in these works is even palpable on the photos, but the whole effect of the relief-like third dimension can actually be seen on the originals only.
