The artist developed this special art technique of reliefcutting. Since 2004 a great number of works has been created. Countinous refinement has made his works more and more complex. The non-interchangeable creation is defined as a distinctive style of Gerhard W. Schmidbauer. Contrary to the collage, that is a conglomerate of different elements on the same layer, in his technique the art work developes into and/or out of the depth.
